Welcome to the Swinford Stud of Welsh Mountain Ponies, specialising in the breeding of Section A's Situated 9 miles north of the historic Roman City of Chester we are approximately 25 minutes from both Manchester and Liverpool airports, 4 miles from the M56, which leads to the M6. Visitors are always welcome and there are several local places offering overnight accommodation, though please contact us first as we would hate to miss you! Although Cheshire is predominantly flat we are blessed with some hilly terrain, which means the ponies are kept in as near their natural condition as possible. They live out all year round, only being stabled when being shown. Our policy has always been to breed ponies of the correct confirmation with good temperaments using only mares that have proved themselves in the show ring.
